Cross Curricular

Two activities enable personal and social skills to be developed, such as presentation, communication, time management, team work, organisation, research and problem solving. In addition to testing understanding it also provides an opportunity for pupils to make connections between subjects.

The notion of cross-curricular studies can be perceived as an idealistic aim, often because the resources to support such a project are unavailable.

A Hole lot of Fuss - Controversial Aggregate Extraction

This first exercise is a multi-disciplinary activity intended essentially to aid the transition from primary to secondary, by facilitating an introduction to subsequently more narrowly based subject teaching.

There is a teacher guide, student activity sheet, student information sheet, student maps and area photos and a draft mineral planning application from Tarmac to download for this exercise.

There is a teacher guide, student activity sheet, student information sheet and a student maps, overlays and photos sheet for this exercise.
