Village Trail– A guided tour of the village including the stables and kennels.

The two trails include:
Farm Trail – A guided tour of a modern dairy with cows and calves and a sheep shearing demonstration.
House and Parkland Trail – A teacher led trail meeting gamekeepers, fishermen, foresters, a farrier shoeing a horse and the history of Melbury House.

- Livestock – find out about the sheep and cattle, what they eat and how they are looked after.
- Crop Study – view the crops in the fields, handle samples, identify the different crops and make links to the end products.
- Care of the Environment – how are the hedgerows managed, find out about bird and butterfly plots on the farm.
- Machinery – a variety of machinery will be on display, with a detailed look at the tractor, a most important machine.
- Life Cycles and Food Chains – these will be explored throughout the day with an opportunity to understand how all living things are interdependent.

Woodland Trail – A teacher led trail meeting foresters, gamekeepers, a wheelwright, a blacksmith and the sawmills. A tractor and trailer ride.
