Silent Sporting Art Auction - CLA Game Fair
Blenheim Palace, 25th-27th July 2008
Following the disappointment of the cancellation of last year's Game Fair, we are delighted to be back!
Many of the country's best sporting artists have once again been generous enough to support our work, with some of the finest works of art that we have seen since the silent auction started eight years ago.
This event has become increasingly popular each year to the extent that, even when the Game Fair was cancelled, we still managed to sell all of the paintings and raise £10,000 by holding the auction on-line.
As always, the silent auction will be held at the Shooting Gazette Stand on Gunmakers' Row throughout the three days of the CLA Game Fair, which is to be at Blenheim Palace on 25, 26 & 27 July 2008, where all of the work will be displayed.
Sadly, one of the artists, Alan Glasby, died earlier this year after a short illness, however his son Andrew is continuing to produce and sell his father's beautiful sculptures and has donated a fine bronze Kingfisher.
Alan's family are in discussion with the CFE to establish an 'Alan Glasby Memorial Fund', the proceeds from which are planned to finance prizes for a children's art competition, which will be run by the CFE.
